It's a pretty run down old building which wouldn't bother me but it's really just the cleanliness. The bathrooms are not very pleasant, quite a bit of dust and dirt. It overall just didn't seem very clean or comfortable. But the atmosphere was relaxed, there were lots of different people from all over the place. Breakfast is included but that is just three different types of toast with three different types of jam. If you plan on staying longer, definitely use the self catering kitchen. It's a good place if you're just passing through, but I wouldn't recommend it for more than 3 days

Decent hostel, more suited for students and other low budget travellers.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The facilities are sober, with the female toilets/showers on the first floor rather poor but on the second floor very decent. Free breakfast is very nice, but don't expect a hearty one, it's white toast with jam and cereal mainly. The breakfast area is very nice though, especially the coloured windows (forgot the english word for it, sorry). About six bunkbeds in a room, which is usually okay, we were just rather unlucky with our roommates (annoying people and super noisy at the ungodly hour of 6 in the morning).
Location is walking distance from Temple Bar, so very nice although the neighborhood is a bit rundown, one has to consider this hostel is located on the northside, i.e. blue collar.

In summary: great money worth, don't expect too much and go with their laid back vibes.

Also: join one of th free walking tours, they are very good!

Simple rooms and facilities, but good located. Charming common areas (i.e. dinning room in an old church). Pleasant staff that helps you with tickets and reservations for sights. Rooms could be a little more groomed.

Staff were friendly enough, helped book tour and Airport Bus. The hostel itself is very dated and needs major renovations. The toilets, showers and kitchen were were not clean, paint missing all over the building. Damaged and unusable light switch next to bed, no power outlets near bed. Lockers in rooms in poor condition and in some cases un able to be used. Very noisy at night until about 1am, in hallways and other rooms. No sound insulation between rooms/outside. I have stayed at many YHA/HI hostels and this is far below the standard you expect. As a positive, the linen and beds were comfortable.

I really wish I could offer more stars, and maybe it’s my fault because this was my first hostel. But it was just not the cleanest or best managed place. No towels to shower either. Breakfast was cereal or toast with tea or juice. I mean it could have been worse, but I wouldn’t come back. Very cheap though which was a huge plus! And the workers were very friendly and helpful. Definitely a unique experience. It is an old convent which was cool.

I have stayed here several times. The place is ok. Like any hostel, you'll have your usual snoring choir so get earplugs for peaceful night.

A fairly decent hostel (even though it has been my first experience with a hostel)
Fairly close to the city center (about a 15-20 min walk) and a Spar supermarket right next to the hostel. They offer free breakfast (bread/toast, cereal).
The showers and toilets are cleaned daily in the morning, that being said, unless you go right after they have been cleaned you won't find a clean toilet/shower...
The beds aren't the biggest, taller people might want to stay clear here. The stuff they use here seems very dated.

Overall a decent hostel but I feel like 3 stars is still kind of generous
